The Role of Head Swim Team Coach

As the Head Swim Team Coach at Krank Pompton in Huntington, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing our swim team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, overseeing team practices and competitions, and mentoring swimmers to help them reach their full potential.

In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with dedicated swimmers who are passionate about the sport. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in their growth and success both in and out of the pool.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive training plans
  • Conducting regular practices and providing technical instruction
  • Preparing swimmers for competitions and meets
  • Monitoring and tracking individual and team progress
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to athletes
  • Collaborating with other coaches and staff members
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of swimmers

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a swim coach or competitive swimmer
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and training methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Current lifeguard and CPR certifications
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
