Your Role as a Summer Day Camp Counselor
As a Summer Day Camp Counselor at Krank Pompton, you will be responsible for guiding campers in various arts and entertainment activities. Your main role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of campers while fostering a fun and engaging environment. The emphasis is on helping campers unleash their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and lead arts and entertainment activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, music, dance, and drama workshops.
- Supervise and engage campers during field trips, performances, and special events.
- Assist campers in developing their artistic abilities and encourage their individual creative growth.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to organize and execute daily camp schedules.
- Ensure camper safety by following Krank Pompton's guidelines and protocols.
- Provide mentorship and support to campers, building their confidence and self-expression through arts and entertainment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
- A passion for arts and entertainment, with expertise in one or more creative domains.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing situations.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.
