About Krank Pompton's Aquatics Coordinator Position

Welcome to Krank Pompton's Arts & Entertainment division, where we take pride in providing top-notch aquatic programs to our community. As an Aquatics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants in our aquatic programs. With your Water Safety Instructor certification, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that promotes water safety, skill development, and fun!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee aquatic programs for diverse age groups and skill levels.
  • Teach swimming lessons and conduct water safety classes.
  • Supervise and train lifeguards, ensuring their certification and skills are up to date.
  • Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for participants.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and swim meets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, progress reports, and incident reports.
  • Update and enforce safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Water Safety Instructor certification (WSI), with strong knowledge of swimming strokes, techniques, and water safety.
  • Prior experience in teaching swimming lessons and managing aquatic programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of lifeguarding practices and procedures.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Passionate about promoting water safety and helping others become confident swimmers.
